Tri-City Eagles is proud to announce Matt McLaughlin as our new House Hockey Director! Matt has been involved in coaching at Tri-City for the past seven years. He is passionate about helping young skaters learn the fundamentals of hockey, dedicating the last four years to coaching 8U and spending three years with the 10U’s. Matt started playing hockey at twelve years old, ultimately graduating from Gonzaga College High School where he spent time as both a player and manager. Now, Matt continues his love of the game as a member of the Admirals Hockey Club adult league team.
Matt lives and breathes sports. He is a 2003 graduate of Xavier University with a Bachelors in Sports Management and is now the Director of Corporate Sponsorships for the Bowie Baysox, AA minor league affiliate to the Baltimore Orioles. Tri-City is lucky to have Matt leading our House program, which seeks to create an environment of learning, inclusion, and a passion for ice hockey for boys and girls from the youngest of ages all the way through the 18U age group.
“My goal as a coach and leader is to pass along the lessons this sport has taught me and to make the game of hockey fun for every kid involved,” says McLaughlin. Matt’s experience and vision is a perfect fit for what Tri-City has planned for their House Program.
The Tri-City Eagles House program is a great option for new hockey players as well as those who simply love the game at its purest form. For beginners, House hockey is a great way to learn the fundamentals and build your game with a sturdy foundation. For those passionate with the sport, the TCE House Program is a great way to enjoy hockey while handling a very manageable commitment. At the end of the day, the Tri-City Eagles House Program provides players a welcoming atmosphere to develop both their skills and a lifelong love of the game in a team centered setting.
